Is there anything you wish you could do for the first time again?

DH and I were discussing this yesterday and he said he would love to play Mario on his Gameboy then find out they were bringing out a colour version.

I would love to read The Faraway Tree and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe for the first time again. Both books were filled with Magic and wonder.

What about you?

A hard locked memory for me is my youngest at Disney land Paris and his sheer joy and wonder the whole time and falling asleep in 1 second flat. Would love to relive that again!

I'd love to live my wedding day all over again.

I cant believe how many people want to relive there first time having sex mine was awful , painful, awkward lasted about 30 seconds then spent weeks terrified I was pregnant. It took me ages to do it again it put me right off.

I was thinking the same thing ! The first time was absolutely horrific. It took me YEARS to actually start enjoying it

Soonenough · 03/12/2025 13:56

I thought it meant I could change it. So scrap that one from my list and the kissing bit too.

Larymarylary · 03/12/2025 13:57

Read all of my favourite childhood books for the first time.

Watch game of thrones, I think

Such epic tv (bar the last two seasons)

I came here to say this and it was the first reply! I’m so jealous of people watching it for the first time.

Fall in love

Badbadbunny · 03/12/2025 14:03

Basically everything to do with intimacy and sex. From first kiss to losing my virginity. I didn't know what I was doing. First boyfriend didn't know what he was doing (neither of us had even held hands with anyone before). We stumbled along and it was all very slow and clumsy, spanning many months (in fact years). Neither of us really got much "excitement" out of any of it as we were both anxious, embarrassed, etc. Losing our virginity was distinctly lacking in excitement - I don't think either of us actually enjoyed it as we didn't know the positions, didn't know about lubricants, etc. Sadly it set the scene for the entire relationship, and in fact entire sex life ever since. If I/we could go back, we'd either get together with other more experienced people or we'd do a lot more "research" - easier said than done back then as there wasn't the same advice/information due to no internet.

I think the point is to go back and do it differently so that it wasn't "awful" and "awkward". I don't think people are wanting to go back and do exactly the same thing again, they're wanting to do the same things, but differently. Unless I've got the wrong end of the stick!

Allswellthatendswelll · 03/12/2025 14:05

Having a newborn. DD (my second and 95% sure my last) is 7 months so I have more small child years to go but I'd love to relive the newborn bubble again.

Whereismyjoiedevivre · 03/12/2025 14:07

Hold my babies again and gaze at them for hours in my arms. Nothing in my life will beat that feeling of drowning in love for them.

Puddledaf · 03/12/2025 14:07

Baby years
To read Wuthering Heights

InLoveWithAI · 03/12/2025 14:08

Listening to my favourite artist's music for the first time again.

All his albums for the first time.

Giving my daughter tickets to a concert she thought she had no chance of seeing. The moment of 'is this is prank breath' then the absolute squeak of delight. I could live that moment over and over and never get bored.

All of my kids firsts. Gosh I'm getting all emotional 🥺

First kiss with first boyfriend. He and the kiss were amazing .
Never had anyone again who could kiss like that.😊

stackhead · 04/12/2025 11:18

I didn't read the faraway tree as a child. Read it with DD for the first time last year as a bedtime story and came downstairs to DH most nights asking WTF was I reading (he read it as a child). It's fucking weird!!

Mine is seeing DD's face when she first saw the Disneyland paris castle. The absolute awe and excitement was amazing.

IndigoBrave · 04/12/2025 14:04

Run the London marathon again but only with all training done. I’m not doing that training again
