Were you sterilised after your c section? How did that go?

I'm due to have a c section later this month and the doctor has asked me if I want to have my tubes tied after the the baby is out.

I was a bit taken aback by the question but it might be sensible as I'm pretty certain I don't want any other children.

I worry that it will be painful or uncomfortable afterwards, or that it will effect my periods.

Has anybody does this, and if so, how did it go for you?

I had the coil fitted during my section but was asked if I wanted to be sterilised and although I was 95% sure we didn’t want anymore children I didn’t want the option taken away
