Will my agency go off me?

I've been working for this agency for 11 years. I'm in need of another temp role through them as my current role finished. I'd been working 4 days a week through them. One dept approached me mentioning a full time role. I didn't have time to think and I accepted it! However, last minute, I turned it down due care giving commitments and stating I can only do 4 days a week! The agency knows I can't do more than 4 days a week, but without knowing the reason. Will my agency go off me now for turning down this full time role? They've always spoken highly of me, but I worry I'll now get a bad name 🤦

I wouldn’t think so, good reliable workers are hard to come by and you’ve been with them a long time. in saying that I’d probably tell them you have caring responsibilities so they don’t think you’re being flakey.

You will be fine. The agency has make making steady money from your labour for 11 years. They want to make more. So why would they even think about sideling you? Without your good self and the other workers they charge for, the agency would cease to exist. It's your labour that is paying their wages.

Thank you. It's just I haven't heard from them. I wouldn't be surprised if they've got the hump with me, but I can only be honest with them.

I don't think they'll have the jump witb you. They'll want to find you some work so they can continue making some money. Presumably they just don't have anything suitable at the moment.

Thank you, yes. I've just applied for JSA.
