Anyone else detest Mushrooms?

Horrible things, what actually are they?
They smell horrible,and they look weird.
Mushroom soup also no way.😢😭🙈

I love them, however I cant think too much about what they are while eating them or it puts me off. Same goes for eggs 🥚

They are so slimy. I once saw someone bite into a breaded mushroom and all this watery stuff oozed out of it. Gross

Me! They are repulsive. I hate everything about them, smell, taste, texture. Vile.

Me. Texture is all wrong, the smell is not appealing and the grey colour…. Mushroom soup and mushroom risotto give me the ick. Can’t eat them at all. They smell and taste like a rotting forest floor.

DH would pass out if one touched his lips or tongue! HE HATES THEM! 😱

Terrifying though to think that some of them can kill you if you eat them!

I can't stand them. I hate the texture, I hate the smell, I hate how they look all slimy. I don't understand why they are so prevalent in vegetarian food.

I hated them growing up. I was only exposed to mushrooms from a jar though. Those things are slimy and disgusting. I still won’t touch them.

Once I got to be an adult and discovered fresh mushrooms I was hooked. I will plan an entire dinner just because the store had an interesting mushroom in that day and I had to try it.

I was fine with mushrooms until I read the revolting comments on here!

I've been turned off just by reading and imagining now.

i do like them on pizza, in pasta sauce but not on their own (ie part of a cooked breakfast). I wouldn’t eat something like stroganoff either.

Yes - detest them - absolutely won’t eat them - makes life challenging as a vegetarian - everything about them is wrong- colour, texture, taste… saw a vegetarian society survey once and a large number of vegetarians don’t like them.

LOVE them, though I recently tried garlic mushrooms from Tesco? Waitrose? And they were 🤢, slimy. But cook them dry and properly and they are great. Very low calorie too!

Same. Love eggs but can’t begin to think about what an egg actually is!
Love love love mushrooms. If I was vegetarian everything would be mushroom.
