Must Watch TV/Films of 2025?

I’m spending Christmas on my own for the first time as I’m going through a divorce - I’ve booked a cosy cottage for me and my dog and plan to catch up on 2025 TV and films as I haven’t watched much this year…

Would be great to see what people recommend as the ‘must watch’ things from this year to help me create my viewing list!

If you can get Netflix or Amazon prime I can suggest
Malice ( Amazon prime)
The beast in me ( Netflix)

The Diplomat on Netflix is a very easy watch, the storylines are a bit ott but it moves at such a pace you don’t really notice. Some surprisingly good actors. (I absolutely loved Allison Janney as the American VP.)

And I hope you and the dog have a lovely Christmas.

I liked the Assasin with Keira knightly. It is a bit old now though

the80sweregreat · 30/11/2025 18:37

Yes. Happy Christmas op!

The Assassin was Keely Hawes.
Keira Knightley was in a great series called Black Doves

the80sweregreat · 30/11/2025 18:40

Oh yes! I did watch both.
Black doves was good

There was a prime show with Eddie Redmayne, the Jackal, where he is an assassin. I quite enjoyed that. And Kin (i think it's called) about the Irish drug family. Can't remember where i watched that on.

Celebrity Traitors too, is worth a watch if you've avoided that yet.

Oh my god yes! DH started watching it and when he mentioned soccer I switched off. I sat in the lounge with him scrolling on MN totally disinterested. By the end of the first episode I was totally hooked. So funny. Sheer brilliance.
