Can you claim back tax you’ve paid?

I have 2 jobs. Both jobs together earn me less than the tax threshold yet job no.2 is taxing me 20%

I will call the tax office and split my tax code, but can I claim the tax I’ve paid back? It’ll be about £200

Once your tax code is changed you should get an automatic refund of tax paid on your payslip. You don’t need to do anything else.

My son contacted tax office and they said they wouldn't refund until after the end of tax year so after April.
