Help with choosing a show- Back to The Future or Stranger Things

I cant decide between the two! It will be just the 2 of us going and it’s a present for DP. Back to the future is his favourite film and we both like Stranger Things.

Can anyone help!

Ive just been to see Stranger Things mainly because it was a free ticket for me. Ive not watched the series. It is the prequel to the story. The actual story was obvious - experment in invisibility during ww2 resulted in some man going weird thus affecting his son. Have to say the story was muddy and a bit unclear. The special effects and staging are amazing and dominate. The acting is okayish . We were high up in the gods - school parties up there so vocals from lead were weak but he is fabulous at movement - can’t fault his physicality. Rest fine but dodgy script. The whole trope of experimenting on the person who is strange does make me feel icky but that is me. I wouldn’t rush to see it again but so much money must have been spent on the staging that it is something and often unexpected.

I assume you mean the stage shows? I've only seen Back to the Future, though I have tickets for Stranger Things in February. Certainly very different experiences! Back to the Future is not musically very memorable, but the staging is incredibly clever and it sends you out smiling from ear to ear. I'm sure Stranger Things doesn't do the latter, but I gather (from someone who worked on the staging now less) that the stage effects are also amazing.

Sorry yes the West End Shows 😅I think I’ll go for Back To The Future, it’s leaving the west end in April so I think I’ll regret it if not!

Back to the future is leaving London soon and going on tour so if wanting to catch it before it goes and all...I did enjoy it but found some of the songs a bit unnecessary and dragged a little.
The staging was fun though!

Loved stranger things! Again clever staging! Cant really remember the plot but it was worth a watch! For me i recommend that one more.

You really need to be “into” Stranger Things to be able to understand the stage show. Whereas my DD saw Back to the Future having never seen the movie and really enjoyed it
