7 year old boy book recommendations

I’d like to buy DS a set of books for Christmas. He’s a very able reader but loves all the football books which aren’t the best quality. He’s read most of the Roald Dahl books. Can anyone recommend a collection please? Thanks

DS is 7 and also a very able reader.

He's currently reading the Sam Wu is Not Afraid books. He just finished the Minecraft Stonesword Saga (and before that the Woodsword ones).

He loved Mr Gum, The 100 Mile an Hour Dog and My Brother's Famous Bottom (in fact all Jeremy Strong!), and the aforementioned Treehouse books. He likes Daisy and the Trouble With... but they're far too easy for him now really.

He's read most of the easier Roald Dahl books and we've read him a few of the harder ones (Matilda, Chocolate Factory).

We're reading him the Secret Seven at the moment, before that we read him the The Boy Who Grew Dragons series. Next we'll probably do the Five Find Outers series (older DD loves an Enid Blyton mystery so we have lots!).
