Pandora packaging

I’ve a couple of relatives who like Pandora jewellery. It’s not my cup of tea but they are really keen and I’d rather get something they’d very much like.

They both have birthdays near to Christmas. So I’ve bought 8 items in total. 4 each. Ordered online during their Black Friday event.

They items have arrived today in 4 boxes. So two items in each box.

The boxes are small cardboard and square in shape. Easily fit in the palm of your hand.

When I checked out I noticed the option to upgrade by £5 per item for gift boxes. I assumed they were the bigger type of boxes, the ones with the tissue paper (in my mind I’m seeing Rowan Aitkinson in Love Actually) and bow around them,

£5 per item seemed a bit steep given the value of each piece anyway (£15 - £45). But I assumed they’d each come in the small cardboard boxes that have been sent (but only 4, not 8 which is the amount needed). So I decided in regular boxes.

Should I have been given 8 of these small boxes? Or is this doubling up standard with Pandora? It seems a bit rubbish for me to give them as gifts doubled up in boxes (which won’t work anyway with three of the items) or to have to give them in the little baggies in a gift bag.

Just seems a bit penny pinching from Pandora. Or is this usual?

Go to Pandora shop with your receipt and ask for boxes, I do this and they have no issue in our local store.

For some reason this is usual when you buy from Pandora online, but not Pandora in store – I agree it’s really rubbish!
