It's so naff.

Had two this morning from biggish companies, pretending to be internal staff discount codes that have been "accidentally" sent to their entire customer email list.

Does anyone fall for it? It just feels fake and desperate, just send a discount code if you want to, no need to pretend a junior staffer is emailing the CEO to check a staff discount code is live 🤔

I’ve never seen that, but yes, it does sound stupid.

There's so many dishonest/dodgy marketing methods, capitalism at its finest.

I’ve had quite a few as well. Someone should be sacked if they’re that incompetent! Not so bad from a small independent company, but not from a major brand.
