Friend with cancer spread in spine hasn't told chiropractor .

She has sarcoma with met to liver and spine.
Further spine scan on Thursday. Appointment with chiropractor on weds about back pain. This is one of several visits.
She has dementia, no relatives, lives alone.
All I can think to do is tell her that it's important she discusses with chiropractor.
Any advice?
Am I worrying unnecessarily?
Perhaps it doesn't matter if chiropractor doesn't know ?

I think it definitely matters. Potentially the mets could have weakened the bones and if the chiropractor does manipulations there's potential for fracture.

I’d be worried about any friend of mine going to see a chiropractor, given that they’re dangerous quacks who kill and paralyse people on a fairly regular basis. But I’d be particularly worried for your friend - if you know which chiropractor they go to, can you call their office anonymously and let them know? Hopefully they’d then have enough sense to back off.

I would call the chiropractor and tell them. You can share information with them they just can’t breach her confidentiality. She is very vulnerable and someone needs to step in before she gets hurt.

Omg, they could potentially paralyze or even kill her. If I was the chiro I would want to know. I feel like if you call them and just advise them of the cancer AND the dementia, they can make an informed choice about how and if they treat her.

Gosh that’s so dangerous for her.
Please phone the chiropractor or if you can go with her to the appointment and make sure the chiropractor knows.
