Children’s Quiz

Oceangirl82 · 25/11/2025 22:30

I’ve been asked to a write a children’s quiz for the Church Fayre.
The children will be approx 4 - 12 which I realise is a wide age range.
I need 20 questions not necessarily Christmas ones, any questions appreciated.
I set regular grown up quizzes but my ‘children’ are in their 30’s so I’m not very current!

TIA

Could you set a couple of quizzes for 4-5 year olds, 5-9, 10-12??

9-12 question:
How many presents are there in the 12 days of Christmas?

Wario54 · 25/11/2025 22:54

Animal questions:

4-5
Which country can you find Kangaroos in? - Australia

What colour is a Flamingo? - Pink

9-12
What are the main colours of a Giant Panda? - Black and White

What is the world's fastest living land mammal? - Cheetah

Photo round who is this?
Singers or lesser known characters from children’s tv programmes.

PigeonsandSquirrels · 25/11/2025 23:33

How many legs does a spider have?

How many pennies are in a pound?

What is the capital city of England?

Which bible character had a coat of many colours?

A picture round would still work

'Who is this' - some footballers, pop stars, a children's TV presenter, throw in the King, then someone they would know, such as the Vicar / Minister.

You can project the photos on to the screen if you don't want to print them.

I think the key is, to make sure any teams are mixed ages, and that there are enough simple questions that people should all be able to get some points in each round.

Animal or Human?

Bluey (animal)
Mr Tumble (human)
Charlie and Lola (human)
Scooby Doo (animal)

Name a sport from the Winter Olympics.
Name a vegetable that grows below the ground.
What is the King called?

Lookingforthejoy · 26/11/2025 17:55

You need a question about K pop demon hunters.

Drillsky · 26/11/2025 17:57

Do you have grandchildren? If so ask them!

Well known illustration from books - match them to the book. Eg the Gruffalo

Complete nursery rhymes:
"Mary had a little ......"
You could give a bonus prize for the one who gives the most imaginative answers there too.

A word that rhymes with <word that's hard but not too difficult>

Write their own "Christmas Alphabet" (word beginning with each letter of Christmas)
C- Candy Canes around the Christmas Tree
H- happiness of all the family etc

MiddleAgedDread · 26/11/2025 18:18

can you split it by age group?
Realistically anything for 4 years olds needs to be pictures and not words and they may struggle to write answers.
For older ones maybe a christmas carols with missing letters? e.g L- - - l- D-n--y = Little Donkey
Maybe you could convert to pictures for the younger ones but they might not know the carols.....
