Anyone got an Oura ring?

I’ve been considering an Oura ring on and off for a couple of years and wondering if anyone could share why they like it (or don’t).

My sleep is appalling and I need to overhaul my wellbeing in general so I feel it would be useful to have some data to give me insights and encourage me to stay on track while I make a bunch of changes.

There are some good deals on just now so it feels like a good time but I’m noticing I keep debating it so keen to hear others’ experiences.

Sorry I can’t comment, but I’d be interested to know what anyone thinks of them as I keep looking at them too!

TheDayBeforeYouCame · 25/11/2025 12:33

Yes. I have had mine for a couple of years and it had helped me improve my sleep by identifying the factors that make me sleep badly. But it only provides data you obviously have to do the thinking and make the changes.

I bought it because I was never going to wear a smart watch because I think they are ugly and distracting.

TheBossOfMe · 25/11/2025 12:34

Mine has helped me transform my sleep - I tagged absolutely everything for months and managed to work out the things that I should and shouldn't do every day to maximise not just how long I sleep for but also the quality of my sleep.

I’m looking too. I keep seeing influencers rave about them.

I found it took bulky and uncomfortable, but I do have slender fingers.

I now have an apple watch and much prefer it

tothelefttotheleft · 25/11/2025 13:47

@ChocolateHazlenutButter

What are the deals on them?

Do you have a non plastic strap for it?

I've stopped wearing mine cos of the plastic strap.

AvocadoJam · 25/11/2025 14:12

@tothelefttotheleft for my watch? I got a fabric strap as I find it more comfortable. I also prefer the look!

I really want an Oura ring but I have no idea if they justify the price. I’d like to not wear an Apple Watch ⌚️

I have one, have had it for around 6 months now and love it.
not only does it help with sleep but it’s really good at picking up on the minor/major signs of something going on (anytime I have been hungover it tells me somethings going on with my body)

it’s also really good for knowing your monthly cycle. From the temp it takes I can see when I have ovulated and know if my period is starting that day (I have spent a bit of time looking into what the results mean)

I often put my metrics into ChatGPT and ask it do identify things for me as well.
the battery life is great and it charges in around an hour or just over to a full charge.

Oopsthatismyrealname · 25/11/2025 14:27

Mine says I'm sleeping through even when I've been awake multiple times. So annoyed I spent so much money on it. However, the feeling of being monitored does make me more active. Although the latest software update has increased my estimated calorie burn a LOT and I'm not sure it can be right. So overall I'm not impressed at all.

ChocolateHazlenutButter · 25/11/2025 18:38

Hmm, quite mixed then. Thanks all.

@tothelefttotheleft there are Black Friday deals on where I live and I’m sure there are in the UK too (John Lewis popped up during my research and they definitely have some discounts)
