Help, being paid incorrectly

I recently started a consulting role, agreed a higher rate in writing. The role is inside IR35 so I’m being paid PAYE by an agency.

Woman at the agency has been useless the entire time, very scatterbrained.

She sent me a document yesterday stating I’m receiving the lower rate of pay, and has done the same on the timesheet portal so I’m scheduled to be paid less than agreed. I am fuming. Has anyone experienced similar before, will it be an easy fix or do I expect my first payment to be short? I am devastated that this has occurred.

Just call her and let her know it's not right. I'm sure it's an easy fix.

As above, just call and get it rectified.

Practically in terms of payroll systems, you may have to accept the lower pay this month and the owed difference would be added to the next pay day but it depends on which system is used and the companies own policies.

Thanks guys. It seems my pay will be incorrect this month and then corrected next month, pretty frustrating for bills.
