I wouldn’t have a clue what clothing has been treated with - but to be honest, I’d assume everything that’s mass produced is likely treated in some way. Where have you bought from previously (I assume you’ve found ones that aren’t treated in the past rather than this being a new request)? Could you find a local seamstress to make them for you? I imagine it wouldn’t be cheap, but you’d have tailor made to fit him and no chemicals!

Although to be honest, throughout their life everything they buy clothing wise will be treated in this way, so is it worth the hassle for just a pair of school trousers, unless you’re going to stop buying any clothes from standard shops?

The kid will be inhaling petrol engine fumes every day… get ordinary trousers and stop worrying.

There are sites that do pure cotton trousers for kids with allergies like eczema. As he’s an adult, you could probably look for some men’s trousers in a natural fibre.

The trousers are treated with chemicals so stains come off easily and there’s less ironing.

No idea about the chemicals but Next ones are pretty robust ( survive about a term of daily lunchtime football before the knees stop coming clean) and go to age 16. Fitted my son till he was about 6’ I think.

Sensitive family!!! Hence seeking this type of clothing out again.

we used to purchase organic / natural from a specialist school wear business. But this was when he was much smaller.

Would be good to understand what others who want environmentally “cleaner” garments are purchasing these days as I feel a little out of touch with it.
