JFK's granddaughter is dying

This is so sad. Tatiana Schlossberg, Caroline Kennedy's 34yo daughter and a mother of 2 very young children, was diagnosed with leukemia immediately after the birth of her second child and has been given less than a year to live. This is a beautiful piece she's written for the New Yorker about her diagnosis.

I read about this. It’s absolutely heartbreaking for her two young children to lose their mother. This should have been the happiest time of her life but instead she is now on a very different path. I do wonder if this has been a catalyst for her brother Jack getting involved in politics.

It's unutterably sad. Those two little ones losing their mother. And Caroline Kennedy - so much loss in her life, and now the prospect of losing her daughter.

Didn’t Jackie Kennedy die of leukaemia, or did I imagine that? Is there a genetic element or is it just that awful Kennedy luck again? God, poor Caroline.

I know Jackie died of cancer but I can't remember which one. She was much older than Tatiana of course, but still not particularly old. I think maybe her early 60s?

And poor Caroline, how much more can she take? Her parents, her brothers and now her daughter.

How sad. Her children are so young.

It really shows that you can have all the money in the world and it can't buy a guarantee of good health or luck.

Sad to report that Tatiana has now died.

I am a similar age to Caroline Kennedy and that heartbreaking picture of her and her little brother at their father’s funeral is one of those images that is imprinted on my brain. To have gone through so many losses since then, and now lost a daughter with such young children of her own, is unimaginably sad. I read Tatiana tried to record as many memories as possible. How hard that must have been.

Unspeakably sad, so young 🥺 God bless her.
