Recruiting dream

Wasn't sure where else to post this.

Last night I dreamt that my mum was dating this horrible guy (my mum has been dead for several years now) he was a nasty asshole (which was true of my dad actually) and really unattractive (not true of my dad) and in the dream she just kept going back to this guy after they would break up and it was making me crazy!

The night before I had the same dream about the same guy, but this time it was a very young friend who was dating him and she was much younger than him and she kept on going back to this asshole, no matter how hard I tried to encourage her not to. I don't know who the friend was. She was not a friend in real life.

Just sharing this because it was a bit weird 🤷‍♀️

There is a theory that you are every character in the dream, so you should look at the events from every perspective. If you were the guy, what would the dream be telling you? Or if you were the person who kept going back? What was the setting of the dream, could you recognise a location or a time period?

Recurring dreams with the same theme are common and often indicate that the brain is trying to process an unresolved problem, ongoing stress, or a past painful experience. They may serve as a reminder from the unconscious mind to address an issue or as a way to rehearse a response to a threat.

  • Unresolved issues: The dream is a way for the mind to repeatedly try to resolve a problem that is being avoided or not fully processed in waking life.
  • Stress and anxiety: An increase in stress often leads to an increase in negative recurring dreams, which may continue until the stress is managed.

I meant to write "Recurring dream" in the subject 🤦‍♀️ not "Recruiting" but I think you all knew what I meant anyway 🤗

Tbf I opened the thread to see if you’d had a dream about recruitment, or if you felt a recruitment process had gone so well you thought you were a ‘recruitment dream’ 😂
