Was anyone actually 17 when they started reading J17?

We were a lot younger, but I suspect we were the target audience in reality, because reading a magazine that you think is for 17 years olds feels very cool aged 13 or 14!

The boys in school.were desperate to read it too but no way would they buy a copy, they'd borrow or nick it off one of us!

Dandy
Smash Hits
J17
More
Sky
The Face

It feels like a shame there are no magazines for teenage girls anymore. DD would love a weekly magazine like J17

Twinkle
Diana
Jackie
Just 17
Blue Jeans
Cosmopolitan

Did any older posters read Loving and Love Affair in the 70s, I can remember taking the magazines to school to read.

Bunty and Judy under 11, even managed to get them when overseas in the Far East then Jackie, Fab 208, Valentine as teenager, mid 20s to She, Cosmopolitan and various women's magazines but not bought regularly. I haven't bought any at all for the last 20 or so years, I buy gardening magazines and occasional home magazines but not often.

My mum always had Woman, Woman's Own and Womens Realm so we always had female magazines in the house.

As a small child I remember Bobo Bunny magazine. He was a blue rabbit.
