Twinkly lights

It’s so grey and gloomy with persistent rain I am going to put up some twinkly lights. I might even wrap some Christmas presents. If only I had some Baileys.
What are you doing on this rainy day?

Running around like a headless chicken but I enjoyed reading your day, can you not pop out for some Baileys?

OldGothsFadeToGrey · 22/11/2025 12:35

Bailey’s is currently £11 for the 1l bottle at Tesco.

I think you should go and get 2.

(I did 😀)

Baileys on offer at Sainsbury's too 💗

Unfortunately my car has developed a serious fault - ?timing belt issue, gutted as it’s not that many miles since it was replaced. I’m also just about recovered from having the flu but still a bit wobbly. (Maybe I don’t need the Baileys 😂)
DH has gone to get groceries but I didn’t mention Baileys. Maybe ds will pop out for me.

Putting up my Christmas decorations!!! Unusually early for me but needed something to cheer up with this miserable weather

caramac04 · 22/11/2025 13:25

You are my people! I’m now watching Food Network for Christmas food - even though I’m very traditional and cook the same food every year. Hosting 10-12 on Christmas Eve and 10 Christmas morning (present opening and breakfast pastries) then turkey and beef for dinner. Wine and chocolate for me when guests leave about 4pm. Or should I say more wine 😂

I third or fourth the Baileys!!! I’m loving it on offer but oh is it dangerous - I love it with a big glass of ice. We keep ours in the fridge. We only drink it at this time of year… but because it’s on offer we’ve been through about 4 bottles so far!!!! 🙄
Anyway, back to this weekend 🤪 I did some Christmas shopping this morning, currently have the house to myself so I’ve got the shopping laid out so I can tick off and list who I still need do buy for. I know I sound like a right Grinch, but I want it all done and wrapped so I can then relax rather than leaving the wrapping until Christmas Eve!
Cooking fajhitas for tea and I’m sure Baileys will be involved somewhere 😆

I did actually put on our twinkly lights and wrap presents. Most are wrapped now. It feels a bit early
