Hi, my DD is 12 and has been wearing glasses for short sightedness for a few years now. She also has always had a bit of an astigmatism. Her prescription for the myopia went from -0.5 to -1.5 and -0.5 to -1.75 in a year so they recommended myopic management glasses, which she's been wearing for a year.
Hey big brother is also using myopic management glasses and it seems to have slowed down his prescription changes. Their dad and I both have strong prescriptions (-5.5 ish).
However, when I took DD to the opticians this week, they said she's not short sighted at all, just really astigmatic. Her new prescription is SPH 0.0/0.0 CYL -1.5/-2.5 AXIS 5.0/175
I'm confused! How can she not be short sighted any more? Or was her prescription wrong before? Or could it be wrong now?
Thanks!
