Kick me up the bum!

God I’m feeling lazy today.
I’m on leave, we got back from holiday yesterday and I had plans to be productive today. So far I’ve dropped ds to school,
put on a load of washing, caught up with some tv and had a nap.
None of the real jobs I wanted to have done have been done because I’m still lying on the sofa!
Please can someone give me a metaphorical kick up the arse and shame me into getting some jobs done 😂

@TheChosenTwo

Don't spend your chilling time explaining yourself to the "all men are shit/OMG the mental load is unbearable" posters on here. They clearly don't grasp the fact that some many people have happy and equal relationships.

I really don’t know if I’m too tired to understand what you’re sort of getting at here?!

We didn’t take the dc with us, 2 of them have been at home while we were away and the middle one is at uni. I’ve done an hour of housey crap which ideally I would have done first thing this morning just so it was done and then had a nice day doing more fun things but tiredness got in the way.

While we were away the eldest was also working and not all the housework was done (totally fine, we were grateful that they’d stepped up to help with younger sibling enabling us to go away in the first place, as long as everyone was alive when we got back and the house hadn’t burnt down it was all a win!).

when I woke up I spent half an hour on my phone and needed a little kick up the bum to force me up. I usually find those threads quite motivating to read myself.

anything else?!

Huh?

you ask for a kick up the him as you had loads to do

I was just saying - if you and another adult went away can’t be that much washing. So yes - kick back!

but if there’s more than that, and all good because you’re on it - surely you don’t need the kick now!

Haha it’s okay @PaulineMush - I needed the kick and I’m pleased to report that after an hour of bustling about I’m safely back on the sofa where I belong 😂
I don’t cook, dh always does the cooking so evenings are generally spent either chatting to him while he cooks, hanging out with the dc or exercising - he’s a good egg and I appreciate him massively as I know he does me.
Some people don’t have equality in their relationships and it’s shit. If I’d done nothing today Dh wouldn’t have said anything and we’d have tackled what needed doing together tomorrow but it’s the weekend and we both deserve to relax at the weekend where possible so I was happy to get it done today, just slightly lacking in enthusiasm!

Oh I see @Susanandgoliath - sorry! Yes it was definitely more than just 2 loads of washing that needed doing, the house was generally just in disarray as we’d not been here and the dc had.

but all good now, I’m back to chill mode!
