Our Banham deadlock issue

Have had the lock for about 10 years with no issues but suddenly the handle where you pull it back to open the door (when you are exiting) is doing something wrong and the deadlock is coming out again ( meaning we can't pull the door closed ). Sometimes I have to go back in and re-pull the handle several times before the deadlocks disappear (and then they appear again when you close the door).

This will sound like gobbleldegook to anyone who is not familiar with the system.

I've tried dry silicone stuff spray.

Do we need a new lock? If so does that mean we need a whole load of new keys?

You need a locksmith.

No experience of that particular lock, but I had to have both external doors repaired with a new gearbox (the bit that operates the latch and additional locking parts) recently. I didn’t need new locks, just the gearboxes.

I don't know all the technical names. DH says he's going to take it apart tomorrow and have a look but I don't know if that's a good idea.

I imagine Banham will charge a premium for coming out. I suppose another general locksmith would do just as well?
