Trip ideas... Turning 40

My friend and I are turning 40 and we are looking to spend a few days together either in UK or Europe. Ideal activities will be spa treatments, walking in beautiful nature, good food, time to catch up together. Do you have any suggestions of places you would recommend? Looking at around £500 to £750 each for 3 to 4 days.

I'd stay in the UK for that.
Depending where you are in the Country, The Lakes, or North Wales, or PEak District or the Highlands or North Yorkshire.

I mean, in truth, there are so many beautiful places in the UK, it will depend on where you've been before and where you are traveling from.

Not the spa but Funchal in Madeira is gorgeous. Plenty of beautiful scenery - look for cheap flights & have a long weekend.

We don't both live in the UK hence why UK or Europe would work well. Any specific hotels recommended?

The Swinton Estate.

More expensive but gorgeous, Grantley Hall.

Both North Yorkshire.

What about the spas in Budapest?. They are not as expensive as spas in the UK and you will be visiting a new place.
