Someone is damaging my car

[Whythoughargh]

Last week I got in my car to go to to work and my driver's side wing mirror glass had been broken. It was on the side not facing the road. Yesterday morning, same thing, different side. This time someone had unfolded the mirror first, it looks like a key. I was parked in two different places, it was on different days. There's no obvious pattern. About 6 weeks ago I had an argument with a man about parking (we were both in the wrong). I don't know if it's related but it's the only thing I can think of. None of my neighbours have seen or heard of anything similar. I don't really know what to do. Just venting I suppose 😔

Unfortunately not, no.

That's a shame Whythoughargh, i do hope it's something innocent and nothing malicious. I can see why you would be worried

I hope so too, I just feel really unsettled by it 😔

Are you parked on the pavement?

I was on the second occasion (but very rarely do this, it is allowed at the time I did it), the first time I was parked in a normal space.

You can get dash cams that record even while the car is parked. I don’t know how wide the field of vision is on them, but might be worth looking into/investing in.

or maybe just some window stickers that say you have cameras recording!

I hate this totally mindless vandalism. Is there CCTV in your street?

No one has a ring doorbell or CCTV unfortunately, well not anyone covering the area I was parked. I was actually on a different street (it's sort of across a crossroads) the first time which is why it feels so personal. I've asked around and no one else has seen it heard anything 🙃
