Basic deliveroo questions

I have never used Deliveroo or similar.

Could we use it to collect prescriptions (for my DPs) from a chemist (who mention deliveroo on their website), or is it only for paid stuff? And how do you pay anyway?

I think you can use Deliveroo for OTC medications but not prescriptions. However there are plenty of prescription delivery services that you could use. Look up Pharmacy2U, for instance. I'm sure there are others.

You pay by card automatically in the app and it takes the money when you order.

Thanks @MonGrainDeSel . That's a pain. I was thinking it could be good for one off urgent things, not so bothered about repeats.

Your best bet is to talk to local pharmacies and find out if any of them operate a delivery service for older or more vulnerable patients. My parents get some stuff delivered in this way. My dad's able to go and get anything routine but sometimes he can't go out because he can't leave my mum on her own, and the pharmacy will bring stuff round to him (free of charge). Worth asking! We are in London but I am sure pharmacies in other areas must do this.
