Don’t want a camera/any phone connection on it because school don’t allow them. They want games and my eldest wants a calculator! Something basic with steps etc. looked at the Garmin Vivofit but no games on the actual watch I don’t think? This is one thing that they’ve asked for it to have.

You’ve had no replies so I’m going to say it - they don’t need it. Very simple.

Stupid idea. Can they tell the time?
Take them for a nice bracing walk in the country instead. Or buy them a book

Games on smartwatches are limited and not much fun IME. And I doubt the school will be particularly keen on children having access to a gaming device while there, especially in the primary years. Nor is it a good idea to give a child an easily accessible calculator when they are meant to be learning how to actually do arithmetic at school.

Just no. I think my kids were about 15 when they got a smart watch. I still don’t have one. Don’t go there. You may find they are banned in school in future - they are for tests and exams.

Wasting your money. Just tech stuff they don't need until yr.11 and not even then imo
