Car insurance claim. Insurance giving option to go through them or a claims company. What should I do?

With Admiral, we have a small no fault claim as someone reversed into us. Admiral are giving us the choice of going direct through them for repairs and paying our excess upfront and claiming it back or they will transfer us to a claims management company where the excess isn’t paid upfront as they claim if from the 3rd party.

Never been in this position before, we can afford to pay the excess upfront if it’s a better thing to do. Any advice please? No idea what’s the safest and quickest route.

Insurance company every time. Never never never the claims company. Just do some searching on here for the horror stories of enormous care hire bills and protracted and falsey elevated claims.

I used the claims company in July. Worked out really well. My car got written off and I got a lot more than it was worth. Only bad thing would have been if the other insurers disputed fault as they wouldn't pay until the insurers paid them whereas if it had been admiral direct they would've paid out and then claimed the money back.

I didn't have to pay my excess beforehand either. It's usually claimed from the other insurers.
