Games for 12 people

I’m after a fun game for people aged 10 to 70 for a group of approximately 12. Not monopoly/trivial pursuit, something we can have a laugh over! Any suggestions please? Thank you.

Quickest Mummy ? Teams of 2 or 3...one person stood in middle holding the end of a loo roll...the others have to wrap the person stood in the middle with the loo roll all over as fast as they can....

🤣. I forgot to say ‘to play with family’ (however I did mention about a 10 year old so this game would (rightly so!) be frowned upon!).

If you’re not averse to gambling type games I’d recommend getting yourself a decent roulette wheel and blackjack or crown & anchor mat. You don’t have to use money you can just use chips which we did when the kids were young, but now it’s all older teens & adults we each put £10 into the pot. We’ve used this for many a large Christmas or New Year gathering - great fun way to spend an evening and always more enthusiastically received than the typical board games.

Would also second beat that, and recommending the sock game as well.

SingingSands · 18/11/2025 17:25

Spoons is brilliant for a big group. You need a deck of cards and a pile of spoons (one less spoon than the number of people in the group). Absolute chaos! If you google it you'll find YouTube videos explaining the rules. We always play it at New Year Eve parties.

Who's in the hat?

Teams of 3.
Everyone write 5 names on pieces of paper and chuck in the hat (need to be cross generational).
Round 1- describe as many people in 2 mins as possible without saying the name.
Round 2- same names back in the hat, describe using one word only, as many as possible in 2 mins.
Round 3- same names but mime as many as possible in 2 mins.

Articulate and Balderdash are our favourites for that size of group/ age range

BrightMintTea · 18/11/2025 17:42

Werewolf/Mafia is brilliant for a big group and works for all ages. Always gets loads of laughs :)

Paaseitjes · 18/11/2025 18:05

Uno. You'll need 3 packs. Everyone gets to invent an extra rule e.g. the person to the right had to quack like a duck if you play a red 5

Nearlyadoctor · 18/11/2025 18:44

Another vote for articulate or another one we like is Logos

Herd mentality

conniebask · 18/11/2025 19:21

another vote for Werewolf! So funny and gets the whole group involved

CosmicTea · 18/11/2025 19:21

If there's lots of kids then 'Kids Vs Adults' is a really fun trivia game.

GreyPearlSatin · 18/11/2025 21:36

Cards against humanity. It always had me in stitches.

cloudjumper · 18/11/2025 21:52

Cards against humanity. Or Kids against maturity, if you’re playing with children
