How to handle this

I generally get on ok with my colleague at work, but sometimes we fall out, I find her hard work. She will mutter stuff under her breath obviously aimed at me and I can hear what she is saying, which I find really hard to ignore, and extremely annoying, it all came to a head Friday and we had an argument, how do others deal with colleagues like this?

I don’t have colleagues like that!
If I did I’d either be telling her to pack it in/asking her what her problem is (making sure there was a witness) or I would be having words with HR. Passive aggressive mutterings are bang out of order.
Maybe start keeping a diary of all this type of stuff then go and present it -with dates/times etc to HR.

Well I did tell her to stop doing it Friday as it was annoying me, and I had had enough. That’s the problem she always does it when no one else is around, and there were no witnesses when I told her to stop.

Every single time she muttered about me I’d tell her I’m reporting it, and would immediately go and report it.

Problem is my manager is fed up of us having arguments, she just wants us to get on with our work naturally, so I’m trying to just sort it out myself.

Head phones and then you can sing along out of tune and annoy her that way . You won’t be able to hear her pass agg comments that way.

Headphones or noise cancelling 'loops' and just do not rise to her. It is not worth risking your job.

How old are you both cos this all sounds rather immature. Can you desks and keep out of each other's way?
