Christmas tree lights

For the first time in years I'm buying new tree lights. As always, we will have a real tree, about 6 feet tall.

Has anyone got the lights that you drop over the tree that have long strands like this:

How do they look? I've always had the sort you arrange yourself and have wound some of the wire around the central trunk and the inner part of the branches. Which do people prefer?

We bought a set of these a couple of years ago. Got them from Balsam hill in their half price Christmas Day sale and, due to a mix up at their end we got two sets ( they told us to keep the extra set and still only charged us the half price). I know they seem expensive, but honestly, they are amazing. You control them via an app and as well as the standard design, you can also creat your own effects. We have one set on the tree and the other set sits on the picture rail in the dining room.

We bought a soft white set of these for our ‘secondary’ dining room tree last year. We were really pleased with them, though the strands tended to need a bit of unravelling.
On our main tree we always have coloured lights so this year I have ordered a coloured set. Apparentky you can adjust the brightness. - I hope so. The only thing I am not pleased about is that they are shipped from the US, so take a long time to get here. This was not apparent from their advert.
I hope they arrive before the tree needs them.
