I have been looking for a dining table for a while now. Whenever I have seen one I like it does not come small enough to fit the space I’m wanting it for. I’ve now seen this one in John Lewis and it appears to be exactly what I want in the right size https://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-thornton-fixed-solid-oak-dining-table-natural-edge-natural-oil/p113386688.
i rang to see if the table was on display in a local store. There was a bit of a language barrier, and I thought the advisor hadn’t understood me, but they said there was one in my nearest store. This was still a bit of a drive away, but I have been looking for a while and thought it was worth the drive. When I got to the store I was advised this is custom made and I would not be able to view it anywhere.
It’s obviously a lot of money, which I don’t want to commit to until I’ve seen it. I’d also not know what chairs to match with it as there is nothing online about matching\suitable chairs to go with it. I’d rather not buy it then have to send it back if I don’t like it, but I think that may be my only option.
I’m a bit frustrated and wondering if anyone can help please? Either if anyone seen a similar table that’s 160x90 or any ideas on how I could view the table. It’s the natural edges and the star legs that I particularly like.
