My engagement ring is now far too big for me to the point of falling off my finger. We have been married dor 12+ yrs and we got married when we were pretty poor and stuggling. My engagement ring cost around 60 pound second hand so pretty cheap but it means so much too me. At the time I know dh had to save for it ( we really were stuggling) I dont want a new one like dh suggested it as it wouldn't be the same. Dh thinks it's too cheap to get resized etc But surely it still can?

It depends what it’s made of, mine is white gold and I recently had it resized and it’s great. Go to your nearest jewellery quarter for it though (London or Birmingham are the only ones I know of)

Take it to a working jewellers, if it's sterling silver then they'll be able to resize it and it should only cost a few quid. We've got a little working jewellers in our market hall, so it doesn't have to be expensive. Good luck :)

My ring was similar and I got it resized. It cost almost as much as the ring itself and worth having done. I love it so much

Yes, whether it is sterling silver or white gold, you should be able to get it resized.
If for whatever reason, the style doesn’t permit resizing, you could have sizing beads put inside the ring. You can also get cheap rubber inserts from Amazon or eBay for a few pounds that sit around the underneath of the band and ensure a tighter fit around the finger.
