We are not from the area and a relative has newly moved to Shaftesbury in Dorset. We will be going there to a special birthday party there before spending time in Godalming, Surrey at Christmas with a different relative and gave a few days in between to make a break out of it. Where would be a good location to base ourselves in between the two? We will either search for a hotel or Air BnB but no idea which area would be nice. We would like to base ourselves there a few nights and be in a nice location.
