Getting away from the O2 arena in London

Hello wise mnetters who know about getting to/from the o2.

dh is going to Radiohead next weekend. A very long story as to why I’m not going. Anyway he is a grown adult but not great with public transport.

I can’t work out how best for him to get from the o2 (obviously quite late) to the premier inn canary wharf. All the maps suggest one stop the jubilee line is fine but tfl app suggests very convoluted bus routes. Is not very far as the crow flies but obviously swimming across the Thames or apparently walking under the tunnels are not options.

whats the issue with the jubilee line? They don’t mind a bit of a walk. Or is it an uber situation (I bet demand will be high!). Everything seems to point to the o2 being a complete PITA to get to. Hopefully it’s better organised than it seems.

Good god, why the drama? It's one stop on the Jubilee line. Really no need to overthink it.

Absolutely tell him to get the Citymapper app. By far the most reliable travel app for London (and any other city that uses it!)

No drama at all. Tfl didn’t come up with this option, so I was trying to understand why.

If he fancies a bit of sightseeing on his way there it is only 11 mins on the DLR from Westferry to Royal Victoria where he can then get the cable car over the river to the 02.

I would recommend hanging back and having a drink somewhere for 20 mins or so afterwards and all the queues for the Jubilee line should have vanished.
