Heated throw help

Walkley18 · 14/11/2025 22:27

Years ago I got a heated throw from Amazon which was great, worked and was hot. It gave up and I have ordered and sent back three to Amazon because they didn't heat up or work or wires could be felt - this after checking reviews and only going for four stars and above. Please can anyone help with recommendations of ones you've bought within the last year that work? Around £40 mark. Doesn't have to be Amazon but want option of returning if not happy. Thanks in advance!

Hubby and daughter have the Sherpa checked one and they heat up all over the entire throw mine is the older one and is plain red Sherpa and heats up all over too. My two sons have Lakeland ones and again they are fine but Lakeland do not do their on brand ones anymore sadly . I’ve also got a cotton dreamland under blanket on my bed and again works perfectly too. So for me I’d highly recommend this brand time and time again because the quality of the products are amazing.

Thanks @Autumnlife!

Not sure how much it was but my husband bought mine from Costco last Christmas. It has four heat settings, warms up quickly and I just love it.

Washingupdone · 16/11/2025 21:47

Maybe check what country it is made in, a lot are made in China.

Really tempted by the Lakeland bubble fur throw as a present. Anyone got one?
Im liking their 3 year warranty

Walkley18 · 17/11/2025 18:37

I'm veering towards Lakeland because of their warranty but a few reviews on the one I like said they didn't get v hot despite 9 heat settings. But others loved it. Can those of you with a Lakeland throw please confirm how hot they get (or just warm)? Thanks

The ones Lakeland now sell are not their own branded ones anymore so I couldn’t say what the quality of the products they offer. They appear to be discontinuing their own branded products in the last few years. I wouldn’t thrust them now I’ve never heard of that brand of throw they are selling.

I have this one. It’s in its’ 3rd or 4th winter and going strong. It heats up so well that I can’t have it on level 6 for more than 30 minutes. I usually have it on 3 or 4 which is perfectly toasty without me getting too hot. I wouldn’t be without one now.

I've got this one, as well as the Dreamland Alaskan fur one.

The Dreamland one gets much hotter than the bubble throw, we all gravitate to that one and the bubble throw is the backup, however after washing the bubble throw is still amazingly soft and still looks like new. Someone accidentally stood on the controller for it though so now it doesn't stay switched on and you can't seem to buy a replacement plug and controller, you just have to buy a completely new blanket 😤

please does anyone have a code for this? The one above is not working for me

They definitely heat up well. I had my Lakeland one on at 5 today and then had to turn it off because I was overheating! And I was freezing before I switched it on. Love love love mine .

Ok my Dreamland zebra furry heated throw is here and it is fabulous.

If you want something soft and drapey it may not be for you. It is quite heavy and more rigid than I imagined. However, I switched it on and sat underneath it for a couple of hours and I'm hooked. I was extremely reluctant to move and warm up dinner (leftovers: the ultimate dinner joy of people who work early shifts). It heats up quickly, feels very luxurious, looks fab on a sofa.

The dog is OBSESSED. This is a new-ish rescue dog who is very scared of people, only trusts me, would never think of being next to me on a sofa in the evening and keeps coming up and resting his head on the furry wonderfullness of this heated blanket. He really, really wants to snuggle next to me and share it but isn't quite there yet. But this blankie has really motivated him to be more sociable in the evening! I give it until tomorrow morning.

It’s the Staysnug Sherpa one from Lakeland. I had the dark blue one and then also bought the cable knit version.

PersephoneParlormaid · 20/11/2025 06:32

I was dilly dallying, so went for a Sherpa from Lakeland.

Thank you, that's the one I was going to get as a gift so good to know it gets hot. I think I will order that one. It's been so difficult, even the ones recommended on here have had some negative reviews when I looked them up on the web. But thanks everyone I'm just going to go for it. Xx😀

Thank you for this thread. My daughter has asked for a heated throw for Christmas and I’ve just ordered the Zebra one. I couldn’t get the extra discount but what a great saving anyway

Grrrpredictivetex · 21/11/2025 14:56

does anyone have any extra discount codes on any of these please? Could be my go to generic present for everyone 😉
