Heated throw help

Walkley18 · 14/11/2025 22:27

Years ago I got a heated throw from Amazon which was great, worked and was hot. It gave up and I have ordered and sent back three to Amazon because they didn't heat up or work or wires could be felt - this after checking reviews and only going for four stars and above. Please can anyone help with recommendations of ones you've bought within the last year that work? Around £40 mark. Doesn't have to be Amazon but want option of returning if not happy. Thanks in advance!

I have two from Lakeland. I think they have some on Black Friday deals.

It's lush honestly - bought one for my little mam and she and the cat are now addicted!

This one and it’s on offer

Lakeland ones are great. I had one that failed after two years but they have 3 year guarantee so got it replaced. Really cosy.

Walkley18 · 14/11/2025 23:08

@Wonderbug81 and @marmitegirl01 which particular ones did you get from Lakeland please?
@nestofvipers that looks lovely but a bit too pricey sadly.

The Stay Snug one. On offer at the moment.

Another vote for Dreamland, I have this one - https://www.boots.com/dreamland-intelliheat-warming-throw-grey-10326213

These all look great, thank you! And it's good to have you recommend them as I am a bit jaded with online reviews. I'm going to research them and choose one when I see if Black Friday brings any of these down in price more. I need one for me and want to get one as a gift so will probably be looking at two different ones. Thanks all x

I have a dreamland one and it is great

DemonsandMosquitoes · 15/11/2025 08:04

My Dreamland one is in its fourth year.

suggestionsplease1 · 15/11/2025 08:15

I can recommend the Dreamland faux fur ones, and I doubt you'll see a better price in the future than the £49.99 for the zebra one on the link above (although it is that same price at a few shops) . I have a couple of the faux fur ones and have bought for friends and family but at higher prices in the past.

Their thickness means they keep the warmth better than some of the thinner ones, meaning that you don't lose as much energy so they cost less to heat. They look great, wash well and then you can use a brush to restore the fur's silky appearance.

TheCurious0range · 15/11/2025 08:23

I bought the Dreamland snuggle up one in the summer for just over £30! Wish I'd bought a few to give as Christmas presents

TheCurious0range · 15/11/2025 08:25

To add would definitely recommend Dreamland, the blanket is great we also have the heated mattress toppers on our bed and the guest bed and they are great too, all really warm, can't feel wires and heat up evenly and very quickly

Silverstag · 15/11/2025 08:31

We had to send our Dreamland back after a week as it stopped working. We now have the one from Costco which so far has been excellent

Walkley18 · 15/11/2025 09:12

Thanks for the Dreamland feedback, def one I'll look at closely though disappointing you had to send yours back @Silverstag.

Another vote for Dreamland. Look at Boots, they often have then on sale. Also guaranteed for a year, ours stopped working after 11 months, swapped for a new one.

Bumblefuzz · 15/11/2025 16:06

Can't comment on how good it is yet, but I bought a silentnight one for my mum's birthday from boots. I bought a cheap one from oneline home store last year & it's been fab. They don't seem to have them anymore though.

Has anyone got a white company one? Considering for my SIL as a special gift?

Daphnedot · 15/11/2025 19:15

I wouldn’t buy anything from White Company any more. After decades of shopping there their quality has gone through the floor recently.
