Anyone ever delved into the BBC Archives on iPlayer? Is it weird I enjoy the backgrounds/decor/petrol prices.....just the way life was and how we have moved on?

Yes, I've watched Churchill's funeral on and off - there are four parts each of about an hour, with the processions before and after and the service itself. All black and white of course.

As well as the ceremonial, it's interesting to see London then. I'd forgotten how filthy the buildings were before they were all cleaned up after the Clean Air Act took effect.
