What are tall 6ft + teen boys wearing?

DS2 has asked for clothes for Christmas. He is 6ft3 and skinny. I’m struggling to get clothes that fit.
previously we’ve had success with Hollister, but they seem to have stopped the 36” leg.

He has asked for baggy jeans, joggers, t shirts and hoodies.

All suggestions appreciated!

Honestly? Mine loves in shorts and fleece! Has Levi jeans but is prob 90% in sports kit 🤷🏼‍♀️

ChimneyPot · 14/11/2025 17:17

DS, 6’2 likes Adidas tall joggers

Octavia64 · 14/11/2025 17:28

Uniqlo.

London only I think although they do do online.

Baggy/wide leg jeans, hoodies still popular, jumpers. DS is 21 and has a huge collection of jumpers. He loves vintage and has resurrected most of DH’s 80s & 90s Adidas and Nike collection. He had a huge amount of compliments for an old Umbro top he wore to an Oasis concert, one bloke claimed it was the wrong colour, DS quickly replied that was probably due to it having faded since it was original.

I buy a lot of stuff for DS from Vinted. He loves Ralph Laurent but prefers the worn in look so second hand is perfect. He also buys vintage T shirts and football shirts. His favourite is an England shirt from the year he was born. I’m currently looking for an original Arsenal shirt from 2004/05 which was their centenary year and burgundy rather than red.

It depends entirely on your son, it’s great if they like to be a bit of an individual but a bit of a pain if they want to look like everyone else. The on trend stuff is often short lived in its popularity and if you get it wrong they will never wear it.

DS lives in Canterbury stadium pants. They can be expensive but are really hard wearing. He’s a rugby/cricket player and it is a popular brand in those sports. He is also 6’3” with extra long legs ( at least 34”) and they are a good length on him.

Mine wears Next long leg jeans and Carhartt cargos. He does have some joggers but has to wear them a little lower slung.

Tops wise he lives in Stussy, Palace, Represent and Carhartt (he has expensive tastes 🙄!)

Jojobees · 14/11/2025 17:54

Cortiez joggers especially the HMP ones come up long, and my teen lives in his.

Brightbluesomething · 14/11/2025 18:03

Mine is 6’4 and fairly slim, filling out a little now and he does go to the gym. He lives in joggers but going out he wears cargo pants or jeans with a smart/branded jumper or hoodies. Shirts would be a waste as he never wears them. He doesn’t have an issue with his size but prefers to go to the shops to try them on. Men’s large from most places usually fits.

Meadowfinch · 14/11/2025 18:09

My ds lives in heavy cotton cargo pants. Next 32" long aren't even close to 32" long and they don't do 28/32 any more so we buy MandM or Arne which are longer and better for skinny teens.

T-shirts, hoodies, ASICs trainers etc. And a ski jacket for really cold weather.

WonderingWanda · 14/11/2025 18:10

Mine has recently taken a liking to Zara for jeans, joggers and base layers. Then a selection of branded hoodies and jumpers.

Uniqlo.

My Ds (6ft 2) buys a lot from Uniqlo
There is a store in Manchester, Birmingham and soon in Leeds

Uniqlo.

Also Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Oxford…

I also have a skinny 6’3” teen. His height is in his torso. He has a 34” inside leg, which is manageable in most places, bur he normally has a midriff gap because T shirts and hoodies are too short to meet the top of his trousers.

PatriciaHolm · 14/11/2025 22:28

My 6ft 3-er likes Uniqlo - trousers there seem to come long, as they do free hemming etc.

PurpleCyclamen · 14/11/2025 22:30

Next are good, although might still need a belt for the trousers.

dogsandbudgey · 14/11/2025 22:42

i need this thread, my son is 13 and 6ft but very long legs and narrow torso so he’s very difficult to fit. I’m stealing all the ideas lol

I knew Mumsnet would have the answers! Thanks for all of your absolutely brilliant suggestions and advice.
We’re going to some college open days this morning and then we’re going shopping. At least we know where to start and we have list of shops and websites. I feel better prepared now.
Thanks everyone.

DS is same height and gets most of his clothes from Uniqlo and Urban Outfitters. He finds Zara stuff too short in the legs, arms and torso. He’s got a few bits from primark as well.

there’s a new Uniqlo recently opened in Liverpool if that’s near you?.
