Alcohol for party

25th · 14/11/2025 16:57

I am having a Christmas party and looking for most economical [place (without appearing like a cheapskate) to buy it. WIll be a mixture of wine, fizz (cremant / processo), beers, cider and some spirits.

Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Thank you

Supermarkets like Sainsbury’s and Tesco usually have deals on cases of beer and wine.

If you can get to Lidl, this is really good for £7.99 a bottle www.lidl.co.uk/p/prosecco-spumante-conegliano/p38962

Don't forget the Baileys! It's Christmas after all 😉🎄

Aldi/Lidl for spirits, beers etc. Any supermarket doing the 25% off when you buy 6 bottles of wine.

Morrisons doing a sparkly wine for 4.75 at the moment.

Lidl, their own brand Prosecco is very drinkable, the wine tour wines are often excellent too. Larger quantities of basic beers and cider is best bought from larger supermarkets when they have a deal on (check websites for the offers) consider mini kegs if you have a lot of real ale drinkers. Spirits are a case of see who has what, again research!

Defo do cremant if you can so much better than prosecco (headache in a bottle). Sainsbury’s with the nectar card or Tesco club card asap will be v cost effective

Go alcohol free and save yourself even more. You know how to brew a good pot of Yorkshire tea, don’t you?
