Anyone still having issues with Asda online?

I was aware of a big update months ago, but that didn’t affect anything. Then about a month ago I started having problems with the app as well as website. There’s a few mentions of it on Reddit but not much else online. Nothing I do has sorted it and the IT people at Asda don’t seem to have a clue either. Has anyone else had this? I’m annoyed as I’ve paid for the annual delivery pass but been unable to get any use out of it.

Yes I placed an order online today and now can't any amendments, as it won't take my payment.

Dd couldn't get it to accept her bank cards last week or today, but it took my first direct one.

It’s certainly janky. I have better luck on a browser than on the app.

Always and it drives me mad. I have a delivery pass otherwise I'd go elsewhere!

I had the opposite @OriginalUsername2 for months I couldn’t use the website on any browser to pay, but could complete the payment on the app. Now nothing will work despite clearing cookies, cache on my laptop, deleting and reinstalling app, different browsers on laptop and phone, all the usual tricks. Customer service are just useless. I was given a voucher to apologise for them just not delivering my last order, but can’t get in to use it online and can’t use it in store 🙄

How annoying! 🤔 Have you tried logging in at someone else’s house / on a different Wi-Fi?

i gave up after it removed all my favourites. Have gone back to Tesco.

I can only use the app if I turn WiFi off and use 4g. It just spins and spins on WiFi

The app is absolutely awful! And after they were 3 hours late with my delivery on Saturday, not even a text or a sorry from the driver when he finally arrived, I've jumped ship to Tesco. If nothing else their app is great to use.

I’ve switched to Tesco too now @gallivantsaregood much better and less subs. But my Asda pass still runs for another 4 months which is annoying - it’s probably in their Ts and Cs they don’t owe me anything, but if I’ve paid for a service and can’t access the service through their errors then I feel like I should get a partial refund. They must know there’s an error and surely must notice other people like me who were regularly ordering and suddenly aren’t.

I used to really like their app and website as it was the only supermarket that allowed you to sort products by calorie/salt/protein/fat content but that disappeared with their latest 'upgrade'. I also have a delivery pass but once that's up I'll probably go back to Sainsburys as the prices are pretty similar.

@canorcant luckily my Asda delivery pass expires next week. 1st delivery from Tesco coming today and I'm impressed. 1 sub but a decent one. They also tell you if something has a short date so you can refuse it if you want.

I used Asda for years but I’ve now switched to Tesco since Asda brought out their “improved app” which doesn’t work!

I was impressed by my 1st Tesco order yesterday after ditching Asda. 1 substitute but it was a decent and cheaper sub. They also told me beforehand that my raspberries had a short date. Tried to hand them back but was told to keep them and was refunded.

I think Asda's new app update has lost a lot of customers. The last delivery I had I asked the driver about it and he told me everyone complained how rubbish it is.

Not been able to order on line since 13 August, the date of their “improvements”. I’ve chased up via several channels, including the CEO but they are clueless. I would shop elsewhere but get colleague discount as, ironically, my hubby is an Asda delivery driver! He gets loads of flack from disgruntled customers and the loads are down by a third because people can’t order.

Wow @DevonDJ that’s a very long time! I’ve sent in a few complaints inc ceo as well, but not heard back. Tesco by contrast have been great, Asda really aren’t doing themselves any favours. Are they deliberately trying to lose customers?!

The Asda app is a nightmare now. It is slow to load and flashes a lot during the long load. It doesn't have your presaved shopping lists anymore. It doesn't remember where you were, so when you select back you are starting afreah. The search brings up dubious results, while not bringing up the product you searched for-even though they sell it. Items added to the basket often disappear. Payments are often declined for no apparent reason. The rewards pot cannot be used, and does not update its balance. But is you complain they point out that you can now see a map of where your delivery - wow, that's so useful when you already have a one hour timeslot!
