Would you let a colleague borrow your hairbrush?

Makemeanonymous · 13/11/2025 23:05

No. I would never share hairbrushes or combs.

It's totally unhygienic.

Nits

Arlanymor · 13/11/2025 23:23

Depends on the colleague, but generally if they were in need, then yes. And I would wash it when I got home. Sometimes emergencies are emergencies.

CanadianCooper · 14/11/2025 00:34

🤢 no way!

CanadianCooper · 14/11/2025 00:34

FFS making my head itchy thinking about it

patooties · 14/11/2025 00:37

Does your colleague have nits?
I can’t imagine ever needing to borrow a hairbrush- only I’d we were in a hotel and I’d left mine at home and showered? Do people brush their hair during the working day?

RememberBeKindWithKaren · 14/11/2025 01:20

Yes, I wouldn't know how to refuse..

I brushed my hair st work today, before interviewing a candidate for a job.

Probably depends on your hair - mine is long and prone to tangling if left unbrushed too long a time.

I wouldn't want to share mine.

Yes I had my hood up on my way to work and on my lunchtime walk. When I got into the office I brushed my hair quickly.

No 'Emergency' can be alleviated with a hair brush.🙄🙄🙄

@Chiavennasca probably because I would feel too uncomfortable to say no. But I'd take it home & wash it thoroughly.

I don't know why it feels so gross, but it does.

I had a colleague who was going for a job interview after her lunch break and during her lunch break she got caught in an unexpected cloudburst and came back in looking like a drowned rat.

Thanks for the eye rolls - I guess that's what you would have done to her in that situation - I didn't, because I'm nice. I gave her my hairbrush and my make up bag so that she could sort herself out ahead of her interview.

ohwoaw · 14/11/2025 02:22

No way. I don’t want someone else’s hair/dead skin on my hair brush thanks 🤢

gilesfaithbuffyangel · 14/11/2025 03:00

I don’t own one so they can’t Grin

You're not that nice. I clearly said I would lend her it, so why say I wouldn't?

an interview isn't an emergency.

ChocolateCinderToffee · 14/11/2025 04:03

No way. Mine is a Mason Pearson, I’m not lending that. Maybe a comb because they’re easy to wash.
