What's the minimum amount I can get away with spending on new glasses at Specsavers?

I also got £15 ones from Specsavers. Since then have slso ordered some from selectspecs and goggles4u online. Both only £10.

It will depend on your prescription , you can always just take the prescription and buy elsewhere which I’ve done before or have lenses changed in an existing pair you own

I bought a pair 3 years ago as my temporary glasses until I buy a nicer pair. As I also use it only for driving, it is still being used!

£20 or so assuming a low ish prescription. Mine were £169 for varifocals, extra coatings etc

How much does anti glare add to the price?

If you have complex prescriptions it may be worth looking at Asda as I think they offer an "all in" price but it will depend what you need as to whether that's better or worse than Specsavers.

Beware that Specsavers will charge £40 for replacing lenses in frames that you already own! I've managed to talk them out of it when I've bought frames from them and had the lenses less than a year, but it can be cheaper to buy a completely new pair rather than get them to put new lenses in old frames.

Can anyone recommend an optician online or shop that does glass lenses? Asda no longer do them but my prescription doesn’t really work in plastic.

Basic anti-glare coating is £15 so if you go for the £15 frames and don't need lens thinning you can get a decent pair suitable for night driving for £30 at Specsavers.

Glasses direct is great but measuring your pupil distance is a bit tricky! Super cheap glasses from £9

I got some for £45, then paid £15 extra as i have astigmatism.
