Cataract surgery - double vision - HELP!

I had cataract this morning and I have double vision. I think it might be normal enough and will get better but I'm in a panic. Can anyone advise please! I don't want to ring the clinic yet as there are sure to be other things I'll panic about in the coming days! 😅

usually temporary and resolves within a few days to weeks as your eye heals and your brain adjust

did they not give you any aftercare information or a leaflet or anything? Do ring if you have concerns, that’s what they’re there for.

Is the double vision using one eye only, or both eyes together?
is it definitely 2 images, or blurry vision?

Phone the clinic where you had the operation done or go to your optician. Alternatively go to a hospital that has A n E for eye problems

Yes I got the info but it doesn't mention double vision. I know, I should ring them.

I had 1 eye done, the second one is next week. It's double vision when I use both eyes

See how you get on over the next few days, it will probably settle down. The main things to be concerned about at this stage, are pain (that’s not resolved with paracetamol) and vision loss in the affected eye.
Take it easy and rest.
The operation was only this morning, let it settle down.

Oh, what a relief! 😅 😂

Haha, just so you know you’re not the only one to do something like this ! I had laser surgery on my eyes years ago, sat up straight afterwards and was ‘I can see’ omg it’s great. Went to the waiting room to see the doctor and Put my sunglasses on when I was in the waiting room as it was bright. Suddenly everything was blurry but I wasn’t thinking straight, was sat there getting more and more stressed it hadn’t worked, went In to see the doctor and was nearly in tears as I thought I’d have to do it all again then he lifted my ‘prescription’ sunglasses and everything was in focus again ! Doh …..

I know. Thank you so much for the reassurance. I'm a real panicker. See my above post 😅
