Do you believe in curses/magic?

Just watched a documentary about a man who is a skeptical about this sort of stuff, but travelled around the world to get cursed by people, just to see what happened. I won't give anything away just in case anyone hasn't seen it and doesn't want any spoilers.

It was pretty interesting actually, but it got me thinking, I don't believe in this stuff at all, but there's no way I would be deliberately going and getting myself cursed, so now I'm questioning if that means I actually do believe on some level.

Would you get a curse put on yourself if you're not a believer, or would you be like me and not want to fuck around with it regardless?

I wouldn’t be bothered if someone cursed me. It’s all nonsense!

My belief is that the subconscious mind is more powerful than we could ever imagine. Jung once said "until you make the unconscious conscious it will direct your life and you will call it fate".

Beliefs matter. This is also borne out in studies whereby teachers have been told that a certain class of students were non academic (it wasnt true) and then their academic results changed as a result of the perceptions of their tutor.

Not to mention the power of the placebo effect. If you have even a mustard seed belief that you are cursed then you will be.

I don’t but I would worry my subconscious is less sceptical and it might affect me in negative ways if I knew about it.
If someone curses me and doesn’t tell me I am 100% confident it won’t do anything.

I did think when I was watching it that the things that happened to him (dreams and then an accident) were hos mind playing tricks.

The dreams were probably because he was thinking so much, and then the accident would have probably happened anyway, but the curse was the first thing that sprung to mind.

I would probably laugh if someone cursed me, but I still wouldn't actively seek it out because it would play on my mind to some degree.

Any minor inconvenience would be attributed to the curse 🤣

My evil maternal grandmother cursed me when I was a baby. She also cursed my mother at the same time. My father died a couple of years later and terrible things have happened to me ever since. I'm in my 50s now and still struggle with seemingly bad luck (serious things, not daft stuff). I often wonder. Perhaps some people are just unlucky.

You need to join a Bible believing church and pray.
