It's time 🎵🎶 well nearly, 2 hours and change until it drops. It should be 10.30.
Its my favourite time of year but as usual I will probably be useless and depend heavily on mumsnetters for help to decipher.

I searched and couldn't find another thread if there's one already up and running ill delete this.

Edited for proper link

@DeanElderberry it's not so much the seasons but what they make up.

TheBirches · 13/11/2025 17:06

PegDope · 13/11/2025 17:04

@TheBirches thank you but that is a similar clue as others have given and it's not helping me 😂I have tried combinations of river, up, north etc. but am getting nowhere.

It's the last one I need to get!

That's because up, north etc are still on the ground. The rivers in this title aren't. Think completely surreal title.

I still need pyjamas, hair , seasons, blanket and the books on the side table!! Driving me crazy!

It's not about the pyjamas, it's about the colour the woman is wearing.

PegDope · 13/11/2025 17:07

@TheBirches OMG THANK YOU!!

That clue is terrible!

Side table books - two words repeated that describe the subjects.

Got the Hair, thanks, but still no clue on this one??

bookworm14 · 13/11/2025 17:14

I only have the mug left - I bet it’s something really obvious!

You're on the right track. A person who has a 9-5 weekday job and is is trying to express when they are free to do something might say 'I'm free X and Y'?

ARGH! that calendar is filled in weirdly, but I've got it at last. I haven't heard of the book, but at least the puzzle is complete.

bookworm14 · 13/11/2025 17:19

Got the mug at last - phew! I think it was easier overall than last year.

drspouse · 13/11/2025 10:49

I got the boardgames and the laptop.
I wonder if we could get this moved to What We're Reading as I looked there for it.

I was looking for a thread on this but only have one at the moment (the slippers). I'll go back to the beginning of the thread and hope for some clues.

Arlanymor · 13/11/2025 17:25

Phew - all done. Thanks so much for the clues on this thread - I would never have got the mug or the hair by myself.

It is, to be fair.

Though for pure obscurity if you don't have a rhotic accent, I would nominate the laptop clue.

DeanElderberry · 13/11/2025 17:36

I tried the hare homonym and got 'nearly' but - was it a novel or what, a recent book or an old one. Still no idea about the seasons. A year doesn't seem to be a book title?

DeanElderberry · 13/11/2025 17:39

and I got the hair at last. I may even have heard of that book.

just mystifying seasons to go

ChessieFL · 13/11/2025 17:39

I’ve got the cat, the spinning books/star and the river painting left. I’m sure they’re going to be really obvious when I get them too.

Forget the seasons themselves. Four of them make up a what? And based on the activities described in the book titles (are these active, adrenaline-y holidays?), think of some nouns you might use in relation to the period of time consisting of doing these things.

I say it as a in 'sospan'... so I was really stumped for a while!

For the star - the stars themselves are fairly disingenuous - it's about the activity that they are involved in which is space-related but not specific to stars.

I only guessed it because I have a signed copy on my bedside table waiting to be read!

SaratogaFilly · 13/11/2025 17:52

If anyone would like to DM me for the seasons & the 2 side table books that would be amazing, as they’re driving me crazy - I’ve read all the clues here and nothing is working for me!!

There is no book called arsing around spending money on doing irritating stuff.

How many letters? Fiction? Non Fiction? New? Old?

drspouse · 13/11/2025 18:12

@DeanElderberry a recent memoir, it's a fairly long title. It was weird.

Search this word on the Goodreads website and the book it is should be obvious.

lifeturnsonadime · 13/11/2025 18:16

I've got 18 I'm just missing the ocean books on the table next to the mug and the top left shelf of the bookcase, anyone got any clues?
