Question for Londoners about spiders...

I'm wondering how common it is to see false wolf spiders (zoropsis spinimana) in your home in London please? They apparently have only been more prevalent in the past several years, so was wondering how often you see them in your home please in London? (where they are apparently more common than the rest of England).

I am considering moving to London from Scotland. After a lot of work, I am much better able to cope with your run-of-the-mill giant house spider but those false wolf spiders seem on a whole new level to me!

I'm in Zone 2, lived here 20 years and probably seen less than a dozen spiders in that time. Never really thought about it till now! I am in a conversion though, first floor upwards so not ground floor. Don't know if it makes a difference.

There are LOTS of big spiders where I am, an hour out of London in to the Home Counties (I hate them but over exposure has got me used to them). I lived in London zone 3 for 25 years and never saw any big spiders there. Occasionally very small house spiders that would be anywhere in the uk.

I used to live in a flat by a wooded area and saw about 3 of them a year. I just ignored them and they seemed to go about their business and not trouble me at all.

Well this has freaked me out, I don’t want to google though.

When I was in a flat I didn’t really get very many. I moved to a house near a park and I get more. False windows in my porch but saw them in the garden of my flat.

Wherever you live if you want to avoid spiders don’t buy a house with a thatched roof 🕷️

I do always wonder about that when I see them but then I am very spider focused (terrified)
