Ford Focus 2015 Emergency Ignition

Hoping someone will be able to help me.
Does anyone know where to find the emergency ignition on a Ford Focus 2015 automatic? Unable to find it hidden in the consol under the armrest, as per the manual; neither is it by the steering wheel column, where it would be hidden by a little cap you prise off. Car wouldn't start with key fob last night and although, thank goodness, it has started this morning, I do not wish to be in this position again. Have found the hidden key inside the fob, but not the places you are supposed to be able to use the key. Batteries have been changed in the fobs. Any advice much aporeciated, thank you

I have a similar age Focus and it does have a cover you can prise off, where the ignition key would normally go on the steering column.

You don’t always need to take it off. Holding the key fob right against the cover whilst pressing the ignition button sometimes works.

Hello Doris86 thank you for replying. We have both checked again and there is nothing on or near the steering column, as you describe. Seems my car has nothing available in terms of an emergency start. Perplexing and quite a concern. Thank you x
