Tired mamma here....

Please shred some advice on how you guys overcome the 2year dreaded regression....

Over an hour to go down to sleep is now the norm at the moment and it's soul destroying. No time to myself in the evenings as im not able to leave till 8.45pm some nights...

Any hints or tips would massively be appreciated!!

Current set up:
Wakes at 645
Naps 12 till 1
Bath 6.45
Cuddles and milk 7.15.....
Then the battle of go to sleep commences....

She probably doesn’t need that much night sleep anymore so you either need to drop the nap or push bedtime later. I went for nap drop at 2y 3m because she was up till 9-10pm with even an hour nap. Bedtime went down to 7.30 without nap. Though my DS always went to sleep about 8.30/9 and dropping nap that stayed the same

Shorten the nap to 30 mins and see if it improves? Does depend on how “2” they are though. A just 2 year old probably does still need a little nap. A nearly 3 year old I would probably just cut out the nap altogether.

2 is peak age for separation anxiety, so that is part of it. I would second reducing or dropping naps, but I would also suggest putting a mattress or air bed in your DC's room so when it all kicks off, you can be in there and still sleep. With my DC1, me just being there and telling them it was OK was enough - 6 weeks and they were sleeping through again.
