Best Apple chutney recipe

I’ve got bagfuls of apples, mostly cookers, and there’s only so many apple crumbles you eat in a year and I’m fed up with apple muffins. I want to make apple chutney but despite being able to cook complex dishes and patisserie, jams and other preserved foods seem to not work for me!

anyone have a fullproof recipe, I have a widely stocked spice cabinet, have fresh ginger, have various sugars, have vinegar and many many kilos of apples. The bbc recipe I made last year tasted of nothing much and was far too liquid, didn’t set, thinking it was me!

the second one is a bbc one and I did have to cook it for longer than the first one. It is lovely though.

I made three different types of apple chutney this year, as we also had loads of apples!

My favourite was this one:

I was also able to use the chillies I’d been growing as well!

Everyone who has had some of this has said how lovely it is.
