Just that.

Haven't even made a list yet, but have friends who have bought and wrapped everything!

Anyone else 😬

I'm in your camp !

Velvian · 08/11/2025 10:13

Yes me, but I'm not worried.

Martymcfly24 · 08/11/2025 10:13

Me neither.
We have a Christmas Savings account that's pays out in December so I never get anything before then .

It’s still early November, it’s barely on our horizon yet.
we don’t do a lot of presents now dd is grown up though.

Billybagpuss · 08/11/2025 10:15

I bought a packet of currents to make the cake. - I’ve not made the cake.

Bigearringsbigsmile · 08/11/2025 10:16

I bought two gifts this week. That's it. I don't even know what I am doing for Christmas yet.

HansHolbein · 08/11/2025 10:17

This is me every year. This year I’ve decided this isn’t going to be me!

I’ve made lots of lists, started buying what I can food wise and freezing. Most of immediate family presents bought. I feel so much better about it.

Just need to remember to wrap it all before Christmas Eve… I always seem to leave it last minute!

Maddy70 · 08/11/2025 10:18

It's still early November... I haven't even thought about it

Primeofmylife78 · 08/11/2025 10:18

Yes cos it’s multiple weeks away and I have more important/interesting things to be doing with my life than worrying about making a roast lunch and wrapping some presents 😂

DustyMaiden · 08/11/2025 10:18

Nothing. It’s the what to buy that’s the problem.

Ponchodreams · 08/11/2025 10:18

We have November birthdays first. Dc are asking for one high value item that will take their whole budget but not sure they really understand that. So in reality not much to buy and wrap.

SingtotheCat · 08/11/2025 10:24

Yes. Christmas is about three days max if you count Boxing Day and Christmas Eve.
It’s a consumerist festival and while I will enjoy festivities, it will be for a short time and about hanging out with family.

Brightbluesomething · 08/11/2025 10:35

I asked the DC’s what they want for Christmas last night and made some notes. Mainly because DC1 was home from uni for a reading week and is going back this morning so I won’t see him until Christmas.
They both want some electricals that I can get cheaper on Amazon in November. But apart from that, I’ll be buying the rest for them and everyone else in early December. It feels far too early to be buying presents.
Thankfully a lot less to buy this year due to being single so it won’t take a lot of planning.

walkingmad · 08/11/2025 10:35

I think this is quite a big group?

walkingmad · 08/11/2025 10:36

Maybe I don't count, just realised I preordered my food the other evening.

walkingmad · 08/11/2025 10:36

And only did that as things start to sell out.

BigJanette · 08/11/2025 11:26

I just remembered I actually bought a bottle of M&S Winter Berry spritz yesterday to try out.
Does that count?

Not started. I have an older DC with a birthday on Monday and I’m not quite finished sorting stuff for that yet. Christmas organising can’t begin until after their b.day.

TheJustJoker · 08/11/2025 11:36

Same.

Taytocrisps · 08/11/2025 11:40

I was away at the end of October and then a close friend died. So I'm a bit behind where Christmas is concerned. I need to sort myself and get into gear. I've bought a few bits to send to a friend in Australia, but that's about it. I'll get there though. I always do.

RememberBeKindWithKaren · 08/11/2025 11:43

Yes me, other than a set of little penguins and no idea what I'm going to do with them

Zippedydodah · 08/11/2025 11:44

Yep! I haven’t bought a thing, I have no intention of buying much if anything either.
I hate Christmas, the commercialisation and the ridiculous amount of money spent largely on tat.
And I’m much happier for it.
I will send the DGCs money and that will be it.

NoMoreBrownSofas · 08/11/2025 11:48

Me but I've never bought anything yet. For me Christmas shopping is something done when it's actually nearly Christmas. But then I am very fortunate that I can afford to do it like that, I know.

walkingmad · 08/11/2025 11:48

@RememberBeKindWithKaren so cute.

I did buy a decoration recently as was on a city break.

JumpOverTheCakeJake · 08/11/2025 11:50

Haven't considered it to be a problem tbh.
